After Brexit, Skrill moves to Ireland

To provide smooth services, Skrill moves its operations to the Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited under the authority of the Central Bank of Ireland.

Skrill announced to its customers that it had to make some changes to continue providing services in the European Economic Area. After the Brexit in January 2020, Skrill Limited had to find a way to provide services without interruptions.

What is Skrill doing to avoid interruptions?

The UK's farewell from the EU has left all international companies with a serious operational challenge. To continue with services to the EEA as usual, Skrill has decided to move its operations away from the Skrill Limited, regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

In future, we will provide services to our customers in the EEA through a Paysafe Group company based in Ireland, Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited ("PPSL") (company number 626665). PPSL is authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as an electronic money institution (register number C184986).

With this move, there will be only a minimum impact on services to customers in the EEA.

What is changing with the transition?

All Skrill customers in the EEA will receive email notification about the transition from Skrill Limited to Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited. Thus, changes in terms and Conditions will apply.

From August 4th, services will no longer be provided by Skrill Limited instead of the Paysafe Group company based in Ireland. The scope of services will remain the same.

As Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited will manage all accounts, the terms will change to reflect the transfer.

Actually no. All these changes will be automatic without disturbances to your account, transfers and crypto service, or gaming accounts supported by Skrill.

Any existing balance with Skrill Limited will automatically be transferred to PPSL and will remain available as normal.
